Arizona immigration activists are getting ready for July 29th, the date SB 1070 goes into effect. The law requires detaining any person suspected of being in the country without documents; gives private citizen’s groups the right to sue police departments that don’t comply with the law; criminalize transportation of undocumented workers by citizens and will contribute to racial profiling!
The activists are optimistic law suits asking for an injunction to keep the law going into effect are successful. If they are not, the activists are ready to go!
