200,000 Immigrantion protesters hit Phoenix with Puente and Alto Arizona

They were thinking they might even have 50,000 people at the Alto Arizona protest against SB 1070 which illgealzes "illegal immigrants".  The reality is, there were likely 200,000 or more people who jammed the Seattle streets of the Arizona capitol in proest of the racial profiling law put into place by Republican Jan Brewer!

The weekend started off with a Friday protest in the office of Arizona John McCain.  The long time Arizona senator had fooled many prior constituents when he announced a pro-immigration reform platform during the past presidential electons.  After Governor Jan Brewer came under pressure to veto SB 1070, which requires police to detain all suspected undocumented workers, McCain flipped on the issue and came out in support of the ugly law.  He has been active in being a major impediment to immigration reform for some time.

Yesterday, May 28th, 2010, McCain promised a metteing with constiutents at an Arizona comuuity center.  He likely heard an immigration rights protest was lurking and cacelled the meeting using the "there was a three hour flight delay" excuse.  Subsequently, McCain's office staffers found 200 protestors picketing his office!  Sad to say, we have not seen much mention in the mainstream news about it.  Pehaps that is why it took a massive Saturday protest today, May 29th, to make the statement!

PASS COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION REFORM NOW!

The message is convincingly clear.  The question is, will Republican candidates hear before they get a rude awakening in November?
